Theological Reflection Resources

Across the disciplines of my work, from pastoral tasks, to chaplaincy, to counseling and coaching and spiritual direction, Theological Reflection is a consistent theme, resource, and tool for growth. I am continually seeking to reflect theologically on my experiences and plans, while I listen for how others are doing theological reflection, or how doing so might benefit them. This page is a collection of tools and resources to assist in that work.

Verbatim Process Notes: This tool is used to capture a conversation, encounter, event or experience (even a dream) and bring it into theological reflection, first personally, and then with others. Other models exist, but this is one that I use most often. Once this process is integrated, it can be done mentally, in the moment or after the fact. However, writing things down helps us see and hear them more fully, and facilitates sharing more objectively.
